The HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air Filter) is the core filter unit of the Fume Extractor, which is mainly used to intercept fine particles larger than 0.3μm (such as welding smoke, metal oxides, PM2.5, etc.), with a filtration efficiency of ≥99.97% (HEPA H13 standard). Its function is to protect the rear activated carbon/catalytic filter element and ensure the discharge of clean air.

1. Core Features

1. Ultra-high Filtration Accuracy

Interception particle size: particles above 0.3μm (such as welding smoke, PM2.5, bacteria, etc.), filtration efficiency ≥99.97% (H13 grade standard), some H14 grades can reach 99.995%.

2. Folding Pleat Structure

Increase the filtration area: The aluminum foil/paper partition forms wavy folds, and the filtration area is 2~5 times that of the plate type, which reduces the resistance (initial resistance 100~200Pa) and extends the service life.

High dust holding capacity: The dust holding capacity of the folding type is 200~500g/m², which is more than twice that of the plate type.

3. Sealing Design

Silicone/polyurethane seal: prevents unfiltered air from bypassing, ensuring filtration efficiency.

4. Functional Scalability

Combined filtration: can be integrated with activated carbon layer and catalytic layer to achieve multiple functions of "particle filtration + deodorization + decomposition of harmful gases" .

5.Maintenance Features

Cannot be washed: The filter paper has fine pores, washing with water will destroy the structure and requires replacement as a whole.

2. Material

1. Activated carbon composite HEPA

Outer frame material: The main body is galvanized steel plate, which has both strength and rust resistance.

Filter material : polyester fiber + activated carbon particles .

Features: Dual-effect purification: particle filtration + odor adsorption (such as VOCs, solder rosin); activated carbon layer life: 3~6 months (depending on the concentration of pollutants); the efficiency of activated carbon decreases after absorbing water, and it needs to be matched with moisture-proof design.

Application: Industrial fume purification (such as welding fume treatment), dust-free workshops in electronics factories or large-scale commercial air purification equipment. With the durability of the metal frame and high-efficiency filter materials, it can meet the purification needs of highly polluted environments.

2. Fiberglass HEPA

Features: The internal filter material can intercept particles larger than 0.3μm, with a filtration efficiency of H13 (≥99.97%) or higher, accurately capturing fine pollutants such as dust and smoke, meeting high purification demand scenarios such as industry and commercial use.

Very brittle: handle with care and do not wash with water.

3. Maintenance and replacement suggestions

1. Installation precautions

Avoid squeezing the filter paper and keep it upright during transportation;

The sealing surface needs to be clean to ensure there is no air leakage.

2. Replacement cycle

Conventional environment: 6~12 months (depending on the degree of pollution);

High dust environment: 3~6 months (it is recommended to use primary/medium efficiency pre-filter .

Do not wash with water, and avoid knocking or squeezing the filter material to cause structural damage.

In high temperature environments, special models with a temperature resistance of more than 100°C must be selected.

Before installation, the residual dust in the air duct needs to be cleaned to avoid secondary pollution.
